Actors' Equity Association Endorses Sydney Kamlager for United States House of Representatives
Equity’s public policy priorities include a prevailing wage in the arts, racial justice, a strong minimum wage, stronger federal and state arts funding, and more.

Actors' Equity Association's National Council has voted to endorse State Senator Sydney Kamlager's election campaign for United States Congress on behalf of the more than 51,000 actors and stage managers working in live entertainment.
"Coming from an arts family, Senator Sydney Kamlager has been an incredibly important fighter for arts workers in Sacramento, and we look forward to her carrying that fight forward to Washington, D.C. on behalf of Equity members," said Al Vincent Jr., executive director of Actors' Equity Association. "I can't wait to work with Sydney Kamlager in Congress to help rebuild a stronger arts economy that works for everyone."
Equity's public policy priorities include defending and protecting the right to collectively bargain, a prevailing wage in the arts, racial justice, a strong minimum wage, stronger federal and state arts funding, gun violence prevention, universal federal health care, tax fairness and LGBTQ non-discrimination protections.
