Calgary Folk Fest Full Lineup Announced, Runs 7/22-25
After weeks of artist leaks, we're announcing the full line up for the 31st Calgary Folk Festival. July 22 - 25, 2010 at Prince's Island Park in downtown Calgary, AB.
Indie artists such as St. Vincent, Man Man, Stars, The Swell Season, Frank Turner and Timber Timbre will be appearing alongside the best in Americana (The Avett Brothers, Greg Brown), World Music (Konono No. 1, Natacha Atlas) and Soul (Roberta Flack, Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens).

Karla Anderson (AB) Intimate and direct songs with understated-but-powerful instrumentation.
Annie Lou (YT) Northern solitude and grit wrapped in Southern old time string band music from songwriters Anne Louise Genest and Kim Barlow.Asani (AB) Fresh traditional Aboriginal vocals incorporate jazz and blues, underpinned by drums and rattles.Natacha Atlas (UK)Electronic beats fuse with North African and Arabic sounds, often in collaboration with a diversity of International Artists.Avett Brothers (USA)This high-flying ensemble incites stomping audience sing-a-longs with theirbrotherly harmonies and twangy acoustic punkgrass.
