Orchestral Concert with Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain, and Edgar Meyer at Jamshed Bhabha Theatre

Acclaimed violinist, Marat Bisengaliev, our Music Director will perform Tchaikovsky’s famous violin concerto preceded by Glinka’s fiery overture to Russlan and Ludmilla.

Perhaps the highlight of this season for a new segment of our audience will be a performance of the Triple Concerto for Banjo, Tabla and Double Bass – premiered and commissioned by the Nashville Symphony, and performed extensively since. Bela Fleck on Banjo, Edgar Meyer on Double Bass and our very own Zakir Hussain on Tabla without doubt are the worlds top soloists in their respective fields. The co-written concerto is a lively jazz influenced piece which is also featured on Bela Fleck’s new 2009 album - the Melody of Rhythm.
