MRINMOY BARUA is a furiously innovative contemporary artist who is driven by the spirit of life even as he explores abstract forces in his paintings.

The Vivacious celebrates MRINMOY's vision of the life-compelling inner force that emboldens us all to live life to the fullest.

Born in 1972 in Kolkata, MRINMOY BARUA inherited his passion and love for art from his maternal grandfather who was a freedom fighter during the freedom struggle.

MRINMOY in his professional journey of 24 years is known for his unique style of Abstract Art and mammoth sized figurative canvas paintings. He is a graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia University and completed his post-graduation from Delhi College of Art.

In a sparkling professional carrier, MRINMOY has won various state-level awards starting with The Shankar's International Award, the Al-Flaha Merit Scholarship, awards from the Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow, and Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi, and the All India Fine Art and Craft Society. He also won the national award in 2002.

Apart from awards he has also participated in various prestigious exhibitions including shows at the Birla Academy, Kolkata, the Lalit Kala Academy, Assam, and at Kala Khazana in Phuket, Thailand.

MRINMOY was privileged to be honoured by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

MRINMOY BARUA Abstract Art has a uniqueness of its own which is primarily the amalgamation of colours, thereby portraying a blend of high course and flat course textures, superimposed by a perfect balance of vibrant brush strokes, with highly precise roller and spatula impact.

Simultaneously, his figurative works portray sentiments of force, power, freedom, ecstasy, life and spirituality. He believes in women empowerment and depicts women forms as a source of life and inspiration. .

MRINMOY BARUA's works have been widely appreciated and displayed by a galaxy of corporate houses, top hotel chains and wide swathe of celebrities.
