Rose McGowan Speaks At HT Leadership Summit 2017 In India

Rose McGowan recently traveled to New Delhi, India on behalf of Liberatum, the global cultural diplomacy organization. This major leadership summit also featured President Obama, Prime Minister of India and many other world renowned figures. Liberatum is working with world leaders and cultural figures to promote change.

Rose McGowan is a writer, director, music artist, former actress, entrepreneur, founder of #ROSEARMY and feminist whistle-blowing activist. Rose has become a women's rights leader and symbol for equal rights, human decency and paving the way for sexual abuse victims to safely rise up in this tumultuous world we now live in.

Liberatum has recently made a cultural film on climate change featuring Mark Ruffalo, David Attenborough and Cher. Liberatum is in the process of creating a major US-Mexican cultural diplomacy festival in Mexico City in collaboration with the President of Mexico to build a strong cultural bridge between Mexico and the US. It aims to connect some of the most acclaimed US cultural, fashion and business leaders with their Mexican counterparts through a compelling programme open to the public. A Mexican-US cultural Davos, if you like.

Pablo Ganguli from Calcutta founded Liberatum at the age of seventeen in Papua New Guinea in 2001 and since then he has conceptualized and directed significant multidisciplinary artistic endeavours all over the world from India to China and Turkey to Russia to inspire people through the power of the arts and raise consciousness on serious social issues and freedom of speech. Some of Liberatum's past collaborators have included Nicole Kidman, David Hockney, Dame Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, Francis Ford Coppola and Gore Vidal.

BRAVE, McGowan's raw, honest, and poignant memoir/manifesto will be released on January 30th by HarperOne. A no-holds-barred, pull-no-punches account of the rise of a millennial icon, fearless activist, and unstoppable force for change who is determined to expose the truth about the entertainment industry, dismantle the concept of fame, shine a light on a multibillion-dollar business built on systemic misogyny, and empower people everywhere to wake up and be BRAVE.
