A scintillating evening in Delhi saw some of the rare form of performing arts that are rooted in our cultural history. But what was significant about this evening was an attempt to bring back these art forms that have been witnessing a gradual depletion, thanks to modern forms of entertainment taking over our lives.

The project titled Tama Show - Dilli Ka Bioscope is directed by Padma Vibhushan recipient and legendary dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj. The event held on April 17, in Delhi saw 35 different artists presenting 8 skills. The idea behind the evening remained to upgrade traditional folk, to make TAMA show a social enterprise and to make Delhi a UNESCO creative city.

The evening kept the audiences riveted with some spell-bounding traditional music, puppetry, jugglery, acrobatics, folk dance and singing and a few other interesting formats. Everything from the costumes to the set-up was kept traditional and the theme to resonate the idea of entertaining without modern means was aptly conveyed.
