What does it mean to be a woman today? How have we been shaped by our travels and encounters with other cultures? What are the myths and stories that bind us? What has shaped us and led us to the point at which we now find ourselves?

These are some of the questions that we all ask ourselves from time to time no matter which culture or continent we belong to. Using these intuitive conversations with the self as a mood board, an idea has been evolved to collect and share content and resources between two artist teams with communities in Wales, UK and in India. 5 artists from India and 5 from Wales are currently involved in the project. The artists are working together on such pertinent questions through Skype calls and some artists from Wales flew down to India last month. A digital artist will be collating the content between two teams. The resulting outcome after a series of workshops will be converted into a theatre production.

The partner organizations -- National Theatre Wales and Junoon in India is represented by Kully Thiarai and Sameera Iyengar respectively. The other artists on board from India are Sushama Deshpande (writer, director, actor) Choiti Ghosh (puppeteer and object theatre practitioner) Sapan Saran (playwright, poet) Tejashree Ingale (visual artist)
