Houston based Scriptwriters/Houston is thrilled to once again present its annual 10x10 Showcase! The organization is now in its 26th year and going stronger than ever as they present 10 brand new plays for you to enjoy.

This event, a yearly staple of Houston theatre will bring together many playwrights, directors, and actors from all over the Houston area to perform ten plays, each of which is only ten minutes in length (so you can totally say you saw at least ten shows this year!). And as always, every show will be performed every night.

The fantastic plays this year include: The Gift of Prophecy by Lauren Tunnell directed by Lindsay Smith, Muscle Shoals by Eric C. Jones directed by Dabrina Sandifier, My Name is Joel Goldfarb by Jeffry Strausser directed by Steve Carpentier, Last Dance by John Meiners, Jr. directed by Lauren Tunnell, Taking a Second Look by Carl Williams directed by Erica Chmielewski, Dolly at the Soiree by Fernando Dovalina directed by Rachel Dickson, Erie Fire by Rachel Dickson directed by Errol Anthony Wilks, Mrs. Opal by Michelle R. Taylor directed by Kelvin Douglas, Teacher of the Year by Stephen Stewart directed by Callina Situka and 2B or Nah 2B: Sexting Hamlet by Donna Latham directed by Amy Pope.

The Festival will also showcase monologues by local Houston writers Kay McStay, Alexander P Garza, Michael Weems, Jere Pfister, B.N. Reichenberger, Bradley Nies and Bebe Gow.

Performances are from September 15-17, 2016 at 8pm and September 22-24th, 2016 at 8pm. The performances will take place at the Pearl Theatre at 14803 Park Almeda Dr. Houston, Texas 77047. Tickets are $15 dollars. To purchase tickets at the door or via reservations which can be made by email at swh10x10@gmail.com (Subject"10x 10 Reservations). Then purchase (cash or credit card) tickets at the box office no later than 10 minutes before performance start time at which time reservations will be released.
