DiverseWorks Presents UNIVERSES: AMERIVILLE + IMD!VERSE
Universes Ameriville Thursday-Saturday, September 30-October 2, 2010 at 7:30pm
Ameriville follows in the groundbreaking footsteps of Universes' Slanguage, which the New York Times called "a work of heart and soul that distills the essence of the city." These fusion theater pioneers seamlessly meld poetry, jazz, hip-hop, politics, down home blues and smoldering Spanish melodies, creating an unforgettable performance experience. Ameriville is a bilingual, multimedia exploration of what it means to be an American in the post-9/11 world with heart, impassioned dance and incandescent harmonies. Click HERE to check out a preview of the performance!
*Make sure to join us for a Q & A after each Ameriville performance. It's an exciting opportunity to learn how Ameriville was created and how Universes has redefined Hip-Hop Theater for over a decade.
Ameriville is made possible by support from the National Performance Network (NPN) Residency Program, NPN Community Fund and Target.
