The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra presents the Jockey Club Masters Series concert on 8 and 9 May 2026 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, conducted by Kahchun Wong and featuring violinist Angela Chan. The program opens with Wagner's Tannhäuser Overture and Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor performed by Chan, first prize winner of the 2024 Hannover Joseph Joachim Violin Competition. The concert's second half features Wong's own orchestration of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, which blends the Western symphonic tradition with Chinese instruments, performed alongside guest soloists from the Singapore Chinese Orchestra: Benjamin Boo, Lee Jun Cheng, Ma Huan, Tan Manman, and Wang Siyuan.
