Kumu Kahua Theatre and University of Hawaii at Manoa Announce 2014 Playwriting Contest Winners

Kumu Kahua Theatre and the University of Hawaii at Manoa Theatre and Dance Department announce the winners of their 2014 playwriting contest.
- The winner of the $600 Hawaii Prize is Susan Soon He Stanton of Aiea, Hawaii for her play: Seek.
- Mike Lee of Brooklyn, New York is the winner of the $450 Pacific/Rim Prize for his play: Tiger Style. - Kimeul DeMoville of Ewa Beach, Hawaii is the winner of the $250 Resident Prize for his play: Deaf in One Ear.Three judges, selected by Kumu Kahua Theatre, evaluate the plays and rank them in each category; from that ranking winners are chosen. To assure anonymity, all plays are submitted under pen names.
