Gaillard Hosts 8th International Adilia Alieva Piano Competition, Now thru June 4
The 8th International Adilia Alieva Piano Competition takes place in Gaillard from today, 1th to 4th June 2012. Monetary and concert prices will be provided for the winners. First prize is 8,000€, total prices are 26,500€. Deadline for registration in Gaillard is April 30, 2012. The panel of judges will include performing artists from USA, France, Netherlands, Russia and Germany, and more.
Monsieur Laurent Petitgirard, honorable president, and Madame Adilia Alieva, president of the jury, host the competition. For each competition, an obligatory piece is requested from world-known composers such as Marcel Landowski, David Byers, chief producer of the radio BBC, Rodion Shchedrin, etc. The competition is organized every two years and managed by the City of Gillard, supported by the regional government and various sponsors.
