Fitness Light Opera is the first Finnish Baroque opera. The opera was premiered in 2007 at the Alexander Theatre, and now puts Ooppera Skaala up in collaboration with Turku Swedish Theatre on AST's Main Stage. The opera deals with current issues about weight, obesity, and the right to be accepted as who they are. The music is composed by Kirmo Lintinen, as soloists top names in Finnish opera, including Mari Palo, Riku Pelo, Petri Bäckström, Essi Luttinen and Soren Little King, the current in the AST's Les Misérables! Performed in Finnish, with subtitles to Swedish.
