Please prepare a folk song of your choice in the style of Woody Guthrie. Bring a picture and resume stapled together. Piano accompanist will be provided. You are welcome to accompany yourself on the guitar. Bring picture and resume, stapled together.
Five actors will play a variety of roles named in each scene. Guitar playing ability a plus, but not required. All of the men handle the songs/spoke words of Woody Guthrie at some point, but don’t need to look like him. The women and men play an assortment of roles and all sing both solo and group numbers.
Seeking:
First Young Man:
(Searcher, Cisco) – 25 – 35 years old. Any ethnicity, Great singer/actor. Guitar a plus but NOT required
Second Young Man:
(Hobo, Folksinger) – 30 – 40 years old. Any ethnicity. Great singer/actor. Guitar a plus but NOT required
Young Woman:
(Hobo Girl, Daughter) – 20 – 35 years old. Latina, Caucasian or any other ethnicity. Great singer/actor.
Woman:
(Hobo Woman, Mama, Saloon Singer) – 40 – 60 years old. Any ethnicity. Great singer/actor
