Tuesday, August 2, 2011 Pearl Studios NYC “500”

10 AM – Equity male dancers 500 Eighth Avenue, 4th Floor

12 Noon – Equity female dancers New York City

Please be warmed up and ready to dance when the call begins. Bring comfortable clothes you can move in, and dance sneakers/shoes.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

Dance oratorio, originally written as a pop opera, with two stories being told in alternating fashion. The main story is told on the bottom level; this is the story of Tutankhamun, his short reign, his untimely death at the hands of the high priest Ay, and Tut's revenge in the afterlife. On a stage built above, and connected by 16 steps (the steps leading to the tomb), is the story of Howard Carter, and his miraculous discovery in 1922.

Seeking Dancers (M/F):

Six dancers trained in Ballet, Modern, and some Afro-Caribbean and West African dance forms (preferably from Guinea, Senegal and/or Mali). Characters include:

Two African or African American Men:

23-30. Athletic build, dark or brown complexions, 5'10" or taller.

Three African or African American Women:

22-30. Athletic or slender build.

One Caucasian Woman:

22-30. Between 5'4" and 5' 7", athletic or slender build.
