Ken Hoyle is an ambitious hatchet-man for a multinational company that sells defective baby formula in developing African countries. His wife Barbara advises other young executive wives on life in the Third World. Their days as idealistic Peace Corps volunteers are far behind them – physically and metaphorically – and the succession of moral compromises has taken its toll.
Seeking “star names” for these roles, both of which are available (i.e. not yet offered and accepted):
Kenneth Hoyle:
Man, 50s/60s. Executive in a multinational company. He is the hatchet-man for a business that prizes loyalty above all else. Was in the Peace Corps in his earlier years. His only son was recently and senselessly murdered. Comes to realize that his loyalty to the company is not reciprocated.
Barbara Hoyle:
Woman, 50s. Wife of Kenneth Hoyle. Hosts conventions, for other wives of young executives, about life in the Third World Was. Was in the Peace Corps with Kenneth. Speaks out against her husband and his company at times. Feels that the man she married and the man she is married to are not the same person.
