A Little Night Music - Set at the turn of the last century, A Little Night Music interweaves a tangled web of former and current lovers among the upper crust elite of Sweden. Esteemed lawyer Fredrik Egerman has recently married a young virgin, Anne, whom his son, Henrik, has also fallen madly in love. Fredrik’s dedication to his blushing bride is tested when he reunites with a former flame, the famed (and fading) actress Desiree Armfeldt. Things grow more complicated when her jealous (and married) lover Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm gets wind of the reunion. The coupling and uncoupling come to a head when Desirée convinces her mother to host Fredrik and his family for a weekend on her lavish country estate—and the Count, with wife in tow, crashes the party.

Seeking:

Fredrik Egerman: 45 – 55 – CAST - A successful widowed middle-aged lawyer. He is married to the 18-year-old Anne and has one son from his previous marriage, Henrik. In the past, he and Desiree were lovers. Baritone A2–E4.

Anne Egerman: 18 - Fredrik's new, naive young wife, who is still a virgin after 11 months of marriage. Soprano G?3–A5.

Henrik Egerman: 20 – 26 - Fredrik's son, 20 years old and Anne's stepson. He is serious but confused; he reads the works of philosophers and theologians whilst studying for the Lutheran priesthood. His sexual repression is a great cause of his turmoil, as he lusts after Anne and attempts to have a sexual encounter with Petra. Ability to play the cello is useful. Tenor G3–B4.

Petra: 21 – 26 - Anne's maid and closest confidante, brash, bold, and flirtatious. She flirts with Henrik. Mezzo F?3–F5.

Desiree Armfeldt: 45 – 55 – CAST - Self-absorbed, once-successful actress, now touring the countryside in what is clearly not the glamorous life. Harbored love for Fredrik for years since their affair. Mezzo F?3–A?4.

Fredrika Armfeldt: 13 – Desiree's thirteen-year-old daughter, who may or may not be the product (unbeknownst to Fredrik) of the actress's and Fredrik's affair. Soprano C4–E?5.

Madame Armfeldt: 60 – 70 - Desiree's mother, a former courtesan who has had liaisons with royalty. Sharp wit. Alto C3–F?4.

Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm: 45 – 55 - A military dragoon who is Desiree's latest lover. Hypocritically places value on fidelity, being hugely possessive when it comes to both his wife and mistress. Comedic role. Operatic Baritone G2–F?4.

Countess Charlotte Malcolm: 45 – 55 - Carl-Magnus' wife, to whom he flaunts his infidelities. She despises her husband for his behavior but obeys his orders due to her hopeless love for him. Self-loathing and borderline alcoholic, yet the more intelligent half of the Malcolm couple. Mezzo G3–F5.

The Quintet: Operatic singers

Mr. Lindquist: Baritone G2-G#4.

Mr. Erlanson: Tenor G#2- A#4.

Mrs. Nordstrom: Soprano G#3-E6.

Mrs. Anderssen: Soprano G#3-A#5.

Rock of Ages - It is 1987, and the fabled West Hollywood club the Bourbon Room is the seedy, sordid, vibrant heart of the Sunset Strip. The music venue is run by chilled-out former rock impresario Dennis Dupree, and tended to by Dennis’s mischievous assistant Lonny, it is the essence of rock and roll. When bright-eyed young hopeful Sherrie Christian, a small-town girl who wants to make it as an actress, arrives in town, she bumps into Drew, a Bourbon Room busboy with dreams of rock and roll stardom. Love-struck Drew convinces Dennis to hire Sherrie, and the stage seems set for their romance. But when the Mayor of West Hollywood, persuaded by a couple of scheming German real estate developers, announces his intention to demolish the Bourbon Room and the entire gritty Sunset Strip, the stakes are raised. Dennis convinces rock god Stacee Jaxx, lead singer of mega band Arsenal, to play the band’s last show at the Bourbon Room, hopeful that the money raised will stop the building from being demolished. But Stacee, a man of massive charisma and massive ego, leaves destruction in his wake, sleeping with Sherrie and getting knocked out by his own band before the concert is over. In the midst of violent anti-demolition protests, Sherrie flees to a nearby strip club and Drew falls into the clutches of a boy band. Who can save the Bourbon Room, the young lovers, and the feuding Germans? Only Lonny, the “dramatic conjurer”, knows for sure.
