Seeking:
Autolycus / As Cast:
40+ A hobo on the fringes of society, busking, stealing and peddling to survive. Witty, scheming, scurrilous and a chameleon – able to adapt to any situation. High sex drive. The actor must be very musical and sing to a high standard. Ideally, the actor would also play either guitar or banjo.
Young Shepherd (Clown) / As Cast:
20 – 30 A simple and honorable son of a shepherd. Unfortunately, not the brightest… Must be adorable and witty. Important note: actors should not take the term “Clown” too literally. Actors should ground their work in a dramatic reality and should not invent “schtick” or “comic business” for its own sake but should find an honesty and truthfulness.
