PLOT NOTE: It is dawn. Samantha Brown, a high school valedictorian, has decided to skip out on freshman year at Columbia University in favor of driving into the unknown. She sits in her car with her bags packed, but she can’t turn the key in the ignition. She is filled with doubts. As the defining moments of her senior year flash through her mind, Samantha has to come to terms with her parents’ expectations, her first love, and a lost friendship before she can turn the key in the ignition and make the first decision of her adult life.
SEEKING:
Mom: Early 40s- early 50s. Samantha’s mother, who can be very astute but also has a tendency to be overly emotional and indirect in her approaches with Sam. She is the kind of person who would prefer someone WANT to do something rather than just doing it because SHE wants it. Seeking an excellent actress with a great belt-mix voice.
