LOGAN: 30s-40s, Female. Caucasian looking, the high school drama teacher that’s always pushing the envelope in potentially inappropriate ways. Earnest about theatre and proving herself.
JAXTON: 30s-40s, Male. Caucasian looking, yoga practitioner/actor. Politically correct to a fault. The confident everyone loves, but his logical PC thinking takes weird turns.
ALICIA: 20s-30s, Female. Brunette, Caucasian looking but has looks that would have been cast as ethnic in ‘50s movies. Without guild. Sexy and hot, but not bright.
CADEN: 50s, Male. Caucasian looking, the academic. Awkward elementary school history teacher with dramatic aspirations but no experience.
HEIDI: 40s, Female. Based on Heidi Schreck; a former debate champion who traveled the country in her teens giving speeches about the Constitution at American legion halls for prize money. Engaging, dynamic, smart, passionate, and witty. Alternates from adulthood to her 15-year-old self throughout the play.
LEGIONNAIRE / MIKE: 40s, Male. Heidi’s friend; first appears as an assertive American Legionnaire monitoring the speech and debate, and a stickler for the rules/law. He later turns into Heidi’s ally and assistant, reflective and genuine.
DEBATER: Teens, Female. High school student; strong debate experience a plus.
