New, high-octane, verbal sword-fest about love, fidelity and misplaced haberdashery. Jackie and Veronica have been in love since the eighth grade. But now, Jackie is on parole and living clean and sober under the guidance of his sponsor, Ralph D, while still living and loving with his volatile soulmate. Still, their love is pure. And true. Nothing can come between them - except a hat. The author provides an eclectic and lively cast of characters and their collective quest - and missteps - results in one of his most open-hearted, laugh-out-loud and poignant plays to date.

Seeking (all listed positions are available (i.e. not yet offered and accepted)).

Understudy for Jackie and Cousin Julio:

AVAILABLE POSITION. One actor covers both roles, which have been cast with Bobby Cannavale and Yul Vazquez, respectively. Track age: 30s-40s. Jackie: Latino, 30s. Recently sober and out of prison; dedicated to making a new life for both himself and Veronica. Hot-blooded, passionate and stubbornly resolute, with a tendency to barrel into situations head-first, regardless of consequences. Trouble seems to find him, even when he's not looking for it. Cousin Julio: Latino, 40s. Jackie's cousin. Unconventional homemaker, and a bit of an eccentric. Very mindful of health and fitness. Likes to talk a big game. Frustrated with Jackie, but loyal and protective of him nonetheless.

Understudy for Veronica and Victoria:

AVAILABLE POSITION. One actress covers both roles, which have been cast with Elizabeth Rodriguez and Annabella Sciorra, respectively. Track age: 30s-40s. Veronica: Latina, 30s. Jackie's girlfriend. Tough, street-wise, volatile and sharp-tongued. A fighter who can give back twice as good as she gets. In love with Jackie, and wants a more stable life, but is far from sober herself. Victoria: 40s. Ralph's wife. Fed up and perpetually pissed-off by Ralph's shtick. Tired of being steam-rolled by her husband; knows that Ralph has been repeatedly unfaithful, and is ready to finally do something about it.

Understudy for Ralph D:

AVAILABLE POSITION. Role has been cast with Chris Rock. Understudy position is available. Ralph is in his 40s. Jackie's sponsor. Quick-witted and charismatic, with a confidence bordering on narcissism. Always knows what to do, and has no difficulty convincing others that he is right. Smooth talker; can talk anyone into anything, and talk his way out of everything.
