The Legend of Julie - Photo/Resume Request

1st reh: mid-July 2011. Runs for 5 perfs 8/12-8/28 as part of the NY Internat’l Fringe Festival

NYC appointment auditions will be held on June 25, 2011

from 9:30 AM – 3 PM (Lunch 12:30-1). Callbacks: 5 – 7 PM.

If chosen to audition, please prepare 32 bars of a pop/rock song (mainstream songs encouraged).

You may be asked to read from sides.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back, even though you will have sent one.

Seeking singers with strong voices (unmiked), with great comedic skills, who are willing to play multiple diverse/eclectic characters, and are, preferably, strong movers.

Actor 1:

Plays characters age 35-55. Characters include a Theatre Owner (happy, optimistic, gullible, easily manipulated), a Foreign Financier and a Saudi Arabian Oil Man.

Actor 2:

Character age: 30-45. Iconic British rock star, lead singer of a band.

Actor 3:

Character age: 20-25. Eager young actor making his big break in NYC. Young, hot, naïve, blond. Optimistic at first, then cynical and disillusioned.

Actor 4:

Plays characters age 40-55. Characters include First Lead Producer (old Broadway producer -- think Zero Mostel meets David Merrick), Tour Manager, Third Lead Producer (old, burnt-out hippie rocker/hillbilly).

Actress 1:

Character age: 23-30. Young movie starlet, originates a Broadway lead role. Blonde, beautiful.

Actress 2:

Character is Asian, 23-30. Gets discovered. Beautiful, intense diva. Loyal to director.

The following roles are cast, but seeking standbys:

Julie:

CAST. 30-45. Legendary Broadway director.

Columnist / Producer’s Assistant:

CAST. Male, 25-35. Columnist: Nerdy theatre reporter. Assistant: Jewish. Business-type.
