Equity audition procedures are NOT in effect. No Equity monitor provided. Producer runs all aspects of the audition.
Sides will be provided at the audition. Also, prepare a brief (under two minutes) contemporary monologue. Bring picture and resume, stapled together.
Seeking:
Daryl:
African-American Man, late 30s. The pastor of a mega-church in the suburbs of Birmingham, Alabama. Has been married to Deborah for over 15 years, but has a fetish for young men. Daryl is well-polished. Good looking, southern, and sophisticated. Partial nudity, depending on the actor's comfort level.
Deborah:
African-American Woman, late 30s. Daryl's wife. Well-polished. No-nonsense attitude. Non-apologetic for her actions. Beautiful, southern, and sophisticated. When Deborah discovers Daryl's attraction for men, she chooses to handle the situation in a non-traditional way. To keep Daryl from sleeping around, she contracts him a lover. For Deborah, divorce is not an option.
Paul:
African-American Man, 20s. Daryl's lover, who has been hired by Deborah. Northern, liberal sensibilities. A non-churchgoer. Slightly naïve but a very fast learner. Very good looking and masculine. Partial to Full nudity, depending on the actor's comfort level.
