Seeking (all roles are available):

KJ:

Man, 30, any ethnicity. Lives with his new age-y mother in a small Vermont town after dropping out of UVM, where he suffered a breakdown. A bit of a modern-day hippie, he concocts ’shroom tea and is interested in philosophy, math, music and art. Tries to mitigate his vulnerability and sense of being lost by cultivating a Buddhist-like sense of peace and a good-natured, playful attitude toward the world. Deeply attached to Jasper, his one and only friend. Actor must be able to sing a simple tune a cappella.

Jasper:

Man, 31, any ethnicity. High school dropout. Self-described “living piece of trailer trash” and former “street-urchin”. Passionate admirer of Henry Miller and Charles Bukowski; working on his first novel, a poetic road novel. Shaken by a recent breakup with his girlfriend, he attempts to bottle up his emotions and play it cool, but can’t fully conceal the deep-seated rage that simmers just below the surface. Cares deeply for KJ, his one and only friend. Actor must be able to strum some chords on a guitar and sing a bit.

Evan:

Seeking actor 18+ to play a 17-year-old male. Character can be any ethnicity. Evan is going into his senior year in high school. Has just started a summer job at The Green Sheep Coffee Shop in a small Vermont town. Awkward, shy, painfully un-cool and without any real friends, he is described as being “in a constant state of humiliation”. Although he finds it difficult to relate to other people, he shares a connection with KJ and Jasper, which develops into a powerful friendship over the course of the play. Actor must be able to strum a guitar and sing.
