Must be available for 3 rehearsals (November 14th, 16th, and 18th). Performance dates are Saturday, November 19th at 8pm and Sunday, November 20th at 3pm. All rehearsals and performances will take place at the Producers Club (Royal Theatre) 358 West 44th Street, NYC, 10036.

SYNOPSIS

In this soap opera presented live on stage, we follow Marty Hardman and the muscular love of his life, Jock, through their ups and downs, ins and outs. The friends who help them through love and loss include a writer of children’s books, a master-chef, a part-time drag queen/fortune-teller who may actually have psychic gifts, and a prostitute. Everyone has something to hide, but all secrets eventually are exposed, for good or ill.

Seeking: Equity male and female actors for:

Marty Hardman:

A Jewish-Italian New Yorker and former teacher. He is a loveable prude and a bit of a smart-ass. He’s in a relationship with Jock. Age: late 30s.

Jock:

An Actor/Model wannabe who is hiding his porn star past. He’s an attractive, muscular gym rat. He is self-centered but good-natured and a bit naïve. Marty’s lover. Age: late 30s. Actor must have dance training.

Chris:

Marty’s neighbor and friend. He is an aspiring master-chef and gourmet at eating, drinking, and sex. He’s hyperactive, scattered and pretentious, and often speaks “kitchen French.” He is Don’s lover. Age: late 20s.

Don:

He is a writer of children’s books. He often quotes Dr. Seuss. He’s attractive, intelligent, and the perfect gentleman. Chris’lover. Age: Late 30s. African-American.

Carolina (Carl):

Marty’s neighbor and friend. Astrologist/Palmist/Tarot reader. A funny, “southern belle.” He is a “non-performing” drag queen who dresses up only on special occasions. He’s a big bear of a man. Age: mid-40s.

Delilah:

Marty’s neighbor. Escort/Hooker. Her warm and generous nature is often hidden beneath her tough exterior. She’s a vulnerable, Marilyn Monroe type. Early 30s.

Mr. Rivera:

The building’s superintendent and aspiring personal trainer. He has a muscular body. Once known as Mrs. Rivera, he is hiding his former gender identity. Age: late 30s. Actor must have dance training.
