BREAKDOWN
It’s 2016. Xue Xing wants DHH to write a musical that’s a smash hit in China. Hillary Clinton wants to be President, and the American people want to keep viewing Chinese culture as they have for centuries. As America comes to terms with the consequences of the recent election, can these two super powers see eye-to-eye before it’s too late?
SEEKING:
ENSEMBLE WOMAN: 20’s – mid 30’s. Female. Asian or Asian-American. A unique, flexible, collaborative dancer with a sense of humor, comfortable moving in a variety of styles. MUST be comfortable dancing as a soloist. Must be comfortable singing in a variety of musical genres and styles from legit musical theater to pop/R&B, and everything in between. Will play a number of smaller roles throughout the piece.
MALE SWING: 20’s – mid 30’s. Male. Asian or Asian-American. A unique, flexible, collaborative dancer, singer, and actor, with a sense of humor. MUST be comfortable dancing as a soloist. Must be comfortable moving in a variety of styles, and singing in a variety of musical genres and styles from legit musical theater to pop/R&B, and everything in between. This is an offstage position.
