SEEKING:

The cast is comprised of five female identifying characters -- four Black and one Caucasian.

All are excellent singers in the pop, jazz and R & B styles.

Gloria: Black. Female identifying. Mezzo Soprano. Devoutly religious. Just coming out of the grief of losing her loving husband, and now her beloved grandmother. 30's - early 40's.

Dr. Simone: Black. Female identifying. Late 30’s - 40's, divorced mother of 17 year-old Tamika. Simone got her doctorate from Harvard in African-American music and is a professor. She has the demeanor of an educated person, and sometimes gets a little know-it-all. Mezzo Soprano.

Tamika: Black. Female identifying. About to graduate from high school. She looks 18 and she tries to be hip. Daughter of Simone. Soprano with belt.

Roberta: Black. Female identifying. Late 30s-40s, who is strong and full of anger, some of it later revealed to be a result of a childhood trauma. Alto.

Heather: Caucasian. Female identifying. Simone’s sister-in-law and therefore one of the Sistas. She's worked very hard to be accepted into the family. She is 30's-40's and is spunky and full of life. She is a social worker. Belter.
