Brandon -Tall, good-looking, finely built and blond, with an upper-class, superior air about him, NOT sympathetic. Late 20’s.
Granillo- Not as tall or necessarily as athletic as Brandon, but also good-looking and well-groomed, sympathetic, but lacking in resolve. Mid-20’s.

Raglan- Young, unsuspecting, simple in nature, good-looking yet a bit unsure and tentative. 20, or thereabouts.
Leila- Young, a bit superficial, non-intellectual, good-looking, well-groomed, and like Raglan, unsuspecting, but a bit more confident. 20, or thereabouts.
Rupert – Slight, a bit arch in humor, effeminate and affected, yet sympathetic and highly intelligent, with a sense of humor that does not suffer fools gladly. Late 20’s.
Professor Jonathan Kentley - Tall, thin, intellectual, a bit vulnerable and sympathetic, kind, gentlemanly, older than his years, late 50’s.
Mrs. Deben- A bit lost in her thoughts as if internally traumatized, far away, plain. 50-ish. Actors auditioning for this role should prepare a monologue, classical or modern, in the vein of Blanch DuBois or Mary Tyrone.
