Seeking the following only (submit only if you are right for one or more these roles and you are free to work throughout the contract dates):

Note: The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is a repertory company. EVERY CONTRACT is 2 or 3 roles, as well as understudy assignments. THE MINIMUM CONTRACT is 7 months, the longest is 11 months. See role for specific dates.

Tito in the world premiere of Universes’ PARTY PEOPLE:

Hispanic man, 30-45. Role for an actor who is very musically inclined, excellent singer and dancer. Actor will also play another role in the season, plus two understudies. Strong Shakespeare skills a must. Contract dates: 5/15 – 11/3/12.

White Snake in the world premiere of White Snake:

Asian female, 20s-30s. Beautiful. Mysterious. Classic romantic lead. Actress will also play another role in the season, plus understudies. Must move well. Strong Shakespeare skills a must. Contract dates: 1/3 – 7/8/12.

Green Snake in the world premiere of White Snake:

Asian female, 20s-30s. Funny, lively, friendly. Actress will also play another role in the season, plus two understudies. Contract dates: 1/3 – 7/8/12. Must move well. Strong Shakespeare skills a must.

Troilus in TROILUS AND CRESSIDA:

Middle Eastern man, 20s-30. Has a sense of humor, and can be self-deprecating. Loves being in love; loves the pain of love, and love always puts him in pain. He wallows in it. Can be sweet and gentle. Actor will also play Scroop/Bates in HENRY V, plus two understudies TBD. Strong Shakespeare skills a must. Contract dates: 2/22 – 11/4/12.

Benvolio in ROMEO AND JULIET:

Hispanic man, 20s. Actor will also play another role in the season, and understudy singing roles. Must sing well. Strong Shakespeare skills a must. Contract dates: 1/3 – 11/4/12.

Mercutio in ROMEO AND JULIET:

20s. Ideally, will be cast as Middle Eastern. Witty, eloquent, full of bravado, Actor will also play Aeneas in TROILUS AND CRESSIDA: Ideally, will be cast as Middle Eastern. Military bearing. Strong Shakespeare skills a must. Contract dates: 2/22 – 11/4/12.
