NYC auditions will be held on March 10 and 11, 2011, by appointment only.

Auditioners will be asked to read from sides, available on Metropolitan Playhouse website once

schedule has been confirmed.

One Third of a Nation is a 1936, WPA play exploring and protesting housing inequities of the

era. It was propaganda, but highly theatrical and often very funny. The production will be performed by a company of actors playing many roles in the series of vignettes characteristic of the Federal Theater Project's 'Living Newspapers.' We are seeking actors of all ages and types with a strong interest in presentational acting, character work, and ensemble performance.

Actors of all ethnicities strongly encouraged to submit, all actors will take on multiple roles.

NOTE: Please submit for only one role below. This breakdown is for casting purposes; actors

will be considered for all appropriate roles.

Man 1: 20s - any ethnicity

Man 2: 30s, any ethnicity

Man 3: 40s - 50s, any ethnicity

Man 4: 60s, any ethnicity

Woman 1: 20s - any ethnicity

Woman 2: 30s, any ethnicity

Woman 3: 40s - 50s, any ethnicity

Woman 4: 60s, any ethnicity.
