Casting the roles of LAUREY and JUD - See Breakdown.
Preparation
2 contrasting songs, cut down to 1 verse and 1 chorus each. The songs should be in the style of Rogers and Hammerstein, and show vocal quality and range. Please bring your own sheet music for our accompanist. Not to exceed 2 1/2 minutes total.

LAUREY: Natural Lyric Soprano with Strong Chest and Mix (C4-Ab5) Should appear to be 17-19 years old, strong actress and singer. Young and beautiful with a fiery and feisty spirit, but also an honest vulnerability.
JUD: Rich, Dramatic Bass Baritone (D3-C#4) Strong actor and singer. 20-30 years old. Dark, brooding, mysterious, restrained but dangerous. Specifically seeking African American performer to play Jud.
