casting@ogunquitplayhouse.org by 12 Noon on June 29. Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout the audition day, as time permits.

Please prepare a brief musical theatre song which best shows your personality and abilities. Some may be asked for a second brief song. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided, but may not transpose.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

All dates are in 2011. All listed roles/chorus positions are available.

THE MUSIC MAN Score/Book: Meredith Willson. Dir TBA. 1st reh: 7/5. Closes 8/20.

Harold Hill:

Leading man-type. Charismatic and charming. Requires good actor, average singer/mover. B - high G.

Marian Paroo:

Leading lady-type. Confident. Requires excellent voice, strong actress, moves well. G - high G.

Marcellus Washburn:

Requires good actor, comic timing, sings and dances. E - high D#.

Constable Locke.


LEGALLY BLONDE, THE MUSICAL Score: Laurence O'Keefe and Neil Benjamin. Book: Heather Hach. Dir TBA. 1st reh: 8/9. Closes 9/17.

Elle Woods:

The quintessential “Valley Girl”. Follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School, and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality Soprano belt, Gb2 - G5.

Prof. Callahan:

Pompous and manipulative Harvard Law professor. Baritone, A2 - F#4.

Warner Huntington III:

Good-looking but pompous. Breaks Elle's heart. Tenor, Eb3 - Ab4.

MISS SAIGON Music: Claude-Michel Schonberg. Lyrics: Richard Maltby, Jr and Alain Boublil. Dir TBA. 1st reh: 9/6. Closes 10/23.

Chris:

Man. Young, tormented American GI. Pop tenor.

Ellen:

Chris's sensible American wife. Mezzo.

John:

Chris's best friend. GI who later becomes an activist. Pop tenor.

Kim:

Vietnamese woman. Young, naïve, but strong-willed. Mezzo.

The Engineer:

Man of Asian or (partially Asian) descent. Greasy wheeler-dealer. High baritone.
