Tells the fictional story of Huey Calhoun, one of the first white disc jockeys who dared to play rhythm & blues music for his white teenage listeners in the early 1950s.
Seeking singers for the original cast of the tour production. Casting director states that auditioning performers will also be considered for the currently running Broadway production (Production Contract; see also separate 3/29 Broadway ECC notice).
Singers Who Move Well (M/F):
Character ages: 20s – 40s. Characters are all ethnicities. Singers play various ensemble characters and understudy principals (see notice of EPAs (3/22, 3/23, 3/25)). Must be excellent singers in different styles (R&B, pop/rock).
