Disney and Cameron Mackintosh have teamed up to produce MARY POPPINS, bringing to life P.L. Travers' fantastic stories filled with eccentric and perceptive characters whose adventures have delighted every generation since they first appeared in the 1930's. After an award-winning production in London, and the success of the current Broadway production, the time has come to cast a national tour. This production combines the best of the film including the now standard songs by the Sherman Brothers, with new material from the classic P.L. Travers books and additional songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Written between 1934 and 1944, the books tell the story of the Banks family of Cherry Tree Lane, a household in disarray until Poppins arrives.
