[STAND-UP/PAUL/CD] Male; characters are 30s - 40s - Seeking actor/singer/who moves well and has MAJOR COMEDIC SKILLS - a must for the role. As the STAND-UP - He is the MC of the show - our link between the past and right now. The actor has to possess the skills to perform stand up comedy and improvise with the audience throughout the show. As PAUL - he is Joel’s gay best friend who gives him pick-up tips and relationship advice. Funny, dry, unsentimental. Paul Jabara from the 70's. As CD - An outrageously hedonistic record producer. Funny, charming and completely ruthless, he manipulates where he can’t persuade, bullies where he can’t manipulate. Sexually incontinent and with an Olympic-sized appetite for pharmaceuticals of every kind, he is an amoral force of nature who blows in and out of his clients’ lives like a hurricane.

[DEE] Female; Character is 30s to 40s. Seeking singer/actress/who dances or moves very well. Dee is bright and feisty. An all or nothing kind of woman. Strong willed and a down to earth. Sense of humor and fun but grounded. She’s determined to stand on her own two feet and raise a daughter as a single mother. She also plays the role of Honey - Joel's fling for one evening. A giddy blond wanna be star type. Great pop/disco singer.

[JOEL] Male; Character is 30s to 40s. Seeking singer/actor/moves well or dances. Joel’s hot, cool and funny. He loves life but doesn't always know where to draw the line. He’s a romantic, passionate, sensitive song writer. He’s a genuinely nice guy whose not always in control of his emotions. He needs someone to ground him or he becomes a lost soul. Great pop/disco singer.

[SUZE] Female; Character is late teens - early 20s. Seeking singer/actress/moves well or dances. Suze is the daughter of Joel and Dee. She is cut from her mother’s cloth- strong willed and bull headed. She speaks her mind a little to quickly and too easily which gets her into trouble. She’s never known her father and his absence has had it’s effect…she doesn’t trust easily. Great singer.

[GAYNOR] Female; Character is an African American woman, 20s – 40s. Seeking singer/actress/moves well. Huge voice. Gaynor and Dee are singing partners. She is the ultimate 70’s disco singer. She is destined to be a diva. She is greedy for life and all it has to offer. She is funny, loyal and good hearted until she or her one of her friends is crossed and then she is a raging fire storm. She has a spiky exterior and above all else is out to be a star…whatever it takes.
