SEEKING

Equity actors with strong acting, singing, and dancing abilities for chorus parts in KINKY BOOTS (see breakdown).

All stage managerial positions have been filled.

BIPOC performers encouraged to audition.

All performers must be vaccinated to work at the Arvada Center.

ALL characters in KINKY BOOTS must be able to execute Northampton/British accents. Most characters should be comfortable moving in heels.

ANGELS: Males, 20s – 30s, any ethnicity, 5’8” or taller. These are the six drag performers who populate THE BLUE ANGEL NIGHTCLUB. Versatile, but also terrific dancers, singers and actors. Will dance in heels. May cover principal roles. Strong tenors. Tumbling, acro, and tricks a plus.

MALE ENSEMBLE: Males, 20s – 40s, any ethnicity. Move well and have great pop voices. Ensemble and various roles including possible Lola cover. May play Guitar.

HARRY: Male, 20s – 30s, any ethnicity. A contemporary of Charlie’s but his opposite. Harry is successful, self-aware and confident. Also plays a delivery man, factory worker, photographer, etc. Strong voice. Plays Guitar well. May understudy CHARLIE.

MISTER PRICE: Male, 50s, Caucasian. Charlie’s father and owner of the shoe factory in the opening and closing sequences. Also a pub patron, factory worker, etc. for the rest of the show. Strong vocals.

RICHARD BAILEY: Male, 30s-40s, any ethnicity. Nicola’s boss. An overtly attractive and successful man. A real threat to Charlie. One of the hooligans, factory workers, etc. Has strong vocals. May cover principal roles. May understudy CHARLIE.

SIMON, SR: Male, 40s-50s, African American. Lola’s father. An unforgiving angry influence on Lola’s life. He works in the opening, and two scenes in act two. Homeless man, a factory worker, etc. Strong vocals. May cover principal roles.

FEMALE ENSEMBLE: Females, 20s – 40s, any ethnicity. Ensemble and various roles (factory workers, photographers, etc.) Will cover principal and featured ensemble roles. Move well and have great pop voices with a strong pop soprano belt up to F#.

PAT: Female, 30s, any ethnicity. Officious office manager who will let loose her wild side when allowed. Lola’s love interest. Great pop belt.

TRISH: Female, 40s, any ethnicity. Factory worker with a husband and kids to worry over.
