Submissions from actors for 4 available roles: Goneril, Edgar, Fool and Albany. All other roles have been cast. see breakdown. Quintessence is committed to diversity in casting.

OTHER DATES

First Rehearsal: February 20. Opening: March 23. Closing: April 20. (Possible extension through April 27)
Rehearsals Wednesday – Sunday (10am – 6pm).
Performances run Wednesday – Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2pm & 7:30pm and Sunday at 3pm. There are special student matinees on Wednesday and Thursdays at 10am.

BREAKDOWN

Goneril (30s/40s): The powerful eldest daughter of King Lear, Machiavellian due to ambition and lust.

Edgar (20s/30s): Legitimate son and heir to the Duke of Gloucester, and godson to King Lear. He is honest man, whose life and safety are jeopardized by his earnestness. Disguises himself as Poor Tom, a mad beggar.

Albany (30s/40s): Wife of Goneril. A gentle and caring leader.

The Fool (20s – 60s): King Lear’s jester. An inspired wit and physical comedian.

All other roles have been cast.
