[Queen Eleanor / Executioner / Messenger / Ensemble]: 50’s-70’s, Queen Eleanor: King John’s mother, the real power behind the throne. Steely, cunning, cutting, driven, quietly ferocious and remorseless. Physically contained, she has learned how to advance and secure power in a male world and knows how to wield her matriarchal power with stealth and precision. Can be charming and lethal.

NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR: The cast will be comprised of a diverse group of women and non-binary actors --a mix of ages, races and body types. All actors will be part of the ensemble and need to be versatile, easily adaptable, interested in radical ensemble work. May move scenery as part of the storytelling. Need to be comfortable with and interested in doing physical work. Need strong text skills. All roles will be understudied.
