In “Julius By Design”, Jo and Laurel, an aging couple, fill their days with crossword puzzles and holiday decorating while desperately trying to heal from the murder of their son. One day a startling letter arrives which snaps Jo out of her routine and sends her on an unexpected journey.
Seeking:
Jo:
African American, early 50s. Highly intelligent, a former teacher and was clearly a beauty in her youth.
Laurel:
African American, early 60s, JO¹s husband. A bit gruff at times, but harmless.
Ethan / Julius:
One actor to play both roles. Ethan: African American, 26. Strapping, youthful and full of promise. Julius: Similar to Ethan, but younger.
George:
Young woman, around 22, most likely white. Quirky and smart.
Casey:
Woman, Early 30s, any race. Casey is a medicated depressive with almost no censor.
Max:
Early to mid-30s, Casey’s husband, any race. A bit cold and cutoff emotionally.
