SYNOPSIS:
Ten years after her fiancé is killed on their wedding day, a traumatized young woman fights to keep her promise to never leave him, while protecting her grief-stricken heart from opening for a familiar stranger.
[CHARLIE] CAST. Female, late 30s. Advertising executive. Grief-stricken from losing her fiancé on her wedding day, she's closed her heart for fear of losing another love. She clings to the memory of her late fiancé, but is drawn to Sam. People gravitate to her dynamic, adventurous spirit, as proven by her serial-dating lifestyle.
[SAM] CAST. Male, late 30s. Advertising executive. Sick for most of his childhood, he lives for the moment. He doesn't waste time and goes after what he wants. Feels an instant, inexplicable attraction to Charlie.
[PIPPA] Female, any ethnicity, mid 30s – 40. Charlie’s best friend since childhood. Pippa tells it like it is, even when Charlie doesn't want to hear it. Puts her own health at risk, running interference for Charlie's free-spirited and reckless lifestyle.
[BEN] Male, any ethnicity, late 20s – early 30s. Charlie’s late fiancé. The love of Charlie's life since they were eight years old. He appears when Charlie needs him. He always wears his wedding tuxedo.
[ELIZABETH/DR. ROTH] Female, white, 60 – 70. ELIZABETH: Ben’s mom. Selfless, caring. Views Charlie as family. She holds secrets about Ben's fatal accident. Because of her love for Charlie, Elizabeth keeps those secrets for many years. DR. ROTH: Therapist. A progressive, respected therapist, not afraid to think outside the box. Her unorthodox ways push Charlie as no other therapist has.
[FRANCO/ZEKE/MATTHEW] Male, any ethnicity, mid 30s – 40ish. FRANCO: Waiter at Miceli’s restaurant. Exuberant, warm. Loves his job, loves Charlie as part of the Miceli's family; ZEKE: Unemployed neanderthal your mother warned you about. A perfect blend of immature, self-indulgent, uncouth, and obnoxious; MATTHEW: Organ Donation Coordinator at Donate to Life Organ Donor Institute. An enthusiastic supporter of organ donations, he lives to see miracles happen every day through organ donations.
