Equity actors for roles in HOW TO BREAK IN A GLOVE.
ALEIDA ROMERO 50-60 s, Cuban matriarch.
Kind and loving but fierce at the drop of a hat. Introspective. Stern. A lioness. She is slim.
FRANCISCO ROMERO 50-60 s, Cuban, very rough around the edges. Deeply repressed. A tenderness that is buried by the masculinity of his cultural generation. Hard of hearing.
TONY LUGO 11, American of Cuban descent.
Vulnerable, impressionable, affectionate, intelligent. Struggles to process his emotions. Small for his age.
CARMEN ROMERO 30 s, Cuban, Americanized, youthful and fun but intensely conflicted. Strong-willed yet insecure, often caught between rebellion and a yearning for approval. Has a storm inside her.
CARLOS LUGO 30 s, Cuban, Americanized.
Energetic, intense, fiery spirit. Arrested development. Impulsive. Well-intentioned. Driven by a need to prove himself.
Please prepare two 1-minute monologues, contrasting. 1 joke.
Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.
