FORBIDDEN BROADWAY Cast Breakdown

Male 1: twenties to late 30s. Baritone with a good sense of comedy. Must be able to sing classic Broadway type songs as well as do voices and accents. Some movement required. Should have a characterized leading man appearance. Any ethnicity. Character portrayals might include Tevye in “Fiddler” Colm Wilkinson and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Female 1. High belt with some soprano notes. Must have a brassy Ethel Merman type voice. Some movement required. Must have great sense of comedy. Should have a classic Broadway Glamour look, yet be fun and character like.. Imitations might include Patti Lupone, Audra MacDonald, Liza Minelli, Karen Oliva and Merman. Any ethnicity
Male 2: Younger male ingenue. Vocal range more tenor. Should have a least a high “G”. Must move well. Ideally, must be attractive look like he’s in his twenties. Good sense of comedy and ability to do various voices and imitations of Broadway Stars. Characters might include “Phantom Of The Opera,” Marius from “Les Miserable” and many others Any ethnicity.
Female 2: Young ingenue type- must look like she’s in her twenties or early 30s. Should have good belt voice with some soprano. Should move very well. Must be able to do character voices and have specialized comic abilities. Characters might include imitations of Bernadette Peters, Gwen Verdon, Julie Andrews, Barbra Streisand. And perhaps Carol Channing or Bette Midler. Any ethnicity.
