APPOINTMENTS
You must make an appointment by emailing athenswestauditions@gmail.com. Please include in your email which days and times you are available, as well as an indication as to whether or not you belong to Actors’ Equity Association. You will be emailed back with a confirmed appointment. Please note that actors must audition in person in order to be considered.
CONTRACT
SPT SPT 3; $327/week minimum
SEEKING
Male and female actors for the upcoming production of EQUIVOCATION by Bill Cain. See breakdown for details.
PREPARATION
The audition will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring a resume and
headshot.
Auditionees interested in reading the play in advance may do so at the Lexington
Downtown Public Library, where the script is kept on reserve.

Callbacks, if needed, will be at the same location the evening of Monday, October 16. Neither transportation nor housing are provided to actors at this time.
EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

BREAKDOWN
Note: actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition, as casting will be non-
traditional.
Shag: 40s or 50s. William Shakespeare, older, wearied, struggles with balancing
art and commerce.
Judith: 19. Shag’s daughter. Dry and wise.
Richard (and other roles): 30s or 40s. Richard is a great actor, and is the leader of Shakespeare’s company.
Sharpe (and other roles): 20s or 30s. The youngest member of the company, temperamental. Also plays King James I – impetuous, Scottish-born king of England.
Armin (and other roles): 30’s or 40s. Plays several other roles.
Nate (and other roles): 30s through 50s. A member of Shakespeare’s company. Also plays Sir Robert Cecil – the King’s oily right hand man.
