Special Appearance Special Appearance; $750/week.

SEEKING

Equity Actress/Singer for the role of Judy Garland.

PREPARATION

Please prepare 36 bars each of an Up-Tempo and Ballad sung in Judy Garland's style. An accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music in your key. No transpositions. Suggested songs are The Man That Got Away, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, When You're Smiling, or anything from Judy Garland repertoire.

BREAKDOWN

Judy Garland - Female,40's-55. Judy towards the end of her life, thin, hyperactive, powerful, and dominating. Addicted to pills and alcohol. Passionate, wickedly funny and sad. Must be able to portray the manic periods in Garland's life as well as the highs. Must be strong singer who can emulate Judy's style and sound. (Not an impersonation).
