BREAKDOWN
Amir:
Male, South Asian, of Pakistani descent. American dialect. A corporate lawyer who has worked hard for both his position and his American identity. Proud, stubborn, head-strong, masculine.
Emily:
Female, Caucasian. An intellectual painter who is both supportive of and frustrated by her husband. Warm, articulate, compassionate, impulsive. Reeks of a certain kind of privilege.
Abe:
Male, Early 20s. South Asian, of Pakistani descent. Originally born in Pakistan and struggling with his American identity. Passionate, headstrong, and devout in his Muslim beliefs.
Isaac:
Male, Caucasian. A confrontational museum curator who is intellectual, worldly, and contrarian. Charming, quick-witted, and passionate about his Jewish faith.
Jory:
Female African-American. An incredibly successful corporate lawyer. Commanding and ambitious. Confident and intelligent.
