Amir
40s-50s, South Asian. Amir is a high powered acquisitions and mergers attorney. Smart, intelligent, charming, and has all the trimmings of a successful and intoxicating Upper East Side or West Side life; is very “liberal” in his view of religion and a great critic of the Islam that he was raised in and would perhaps be considered a secular man if not an Atheist. Doesn’t suffer fools well but mostly because he thinks that’s how powerful men behave. He loves his wife and they have a cocooned and comfortable Manhattan life replete with Weekend getaways and dinner parties. He has worked and continues to work hard to earn his American Dream. At all costs. And this desperation to achieve the full mantle of this Dream is his ultimate undoing. He is ultimately a man hiding in plain sight.
