Please prepare EITHER a) a brief monologue OR b) two one-minute monologues OR c) a brief song OR d) 16 bars of a song and a one-minute monologue. If singing, please perform the song of the URINETOWN character for which you are auditioning. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled together.

2010-11 Season, with available roles that are expected to be on Equity contracts:

OTHELLO by William Shakespeare. Dir: Dale AJ Rose. 1st reh: 8/31/10. Runs 10/7-10/17.

Brabantio:

Late 40s, early 50s. Powerful Venetian merchant. Greedy, bigoted, hypocritical and a bit of a fool. Desdemona's father. Well-spoken and very aware of his status in society and the Venetian senate.

A FLEA IN HER EAR by Georges Feydeau. Dir: Art Manke. 1st reh: 10/18/10. Runs 12/2-12/11.

Dr. Finache:

Mid - late 30s. Wry sense of humor. A bit of a self-help guru. Thinks of himself as a suave ladies' man. “I prescribe a placebo and dispatch a bill.”

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE Adaptation by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R. Sullivan, based on Austen's novel. Dir: Helene Kvale. 1st reh: 1/17/11. Runs 2/24/11 - 3/6/11.

Mrs. Bennet:

40s. Noisy and foolish. Consumed by the desire to see her daughters marry into money and position, she tends to alienate the very suitors she is desperate to attract.

URINETOWN Music: Mark Hollman. Book: Greg Kotis. Lyrics: Hollman and Kotis. Dir: Paul Mullins. Mus Dir: Ken Clark. 1st reh.: 3/14/11. Runs 4/14/11 - 4/30/11.

Officer Lockstock:

Late 30s. On the take. Has a soft spot for a little girl. Narrator. Ideally 6'1” or taller. Brings the audience on the journey to Urinetown.

Penelope Pennywise:

Late 30s-early 40s. Chief custodian at the poorest, filthiest urinal in town. Tough exterior with a hidden heart.

Caldwell P. Cladwell:

50s. President of Urine Good Company. Cunning, smooth and crafty.
