SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in HERE LIES LOVE, PRIMARY TRUST, and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY (see breakdown). All roles will be understudied.
Actors of all ages, abilities and ethnic backgrounds are welcomed to audition for all roles (unless specifically stated).

PREPARATION

3 minutes total – strict time limit. 2 short (1 min) contrasting monologues or 1 (2 min) monologue, preferable from a published play.
16 bars of music – pop/rock musical piece preferred. Accompanist will be provided.
MUST bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Seeking actors to play Filipino and/or Asian characters. All actors must have great pop voices and move well. Actors of the many ethnicities found in the Republic of the Philippines including Austronesian Filipinos, as well as migrant groups from China, Korea, Spain, Southeast Asia, among other nations encouraged to audition.

• IMELDA MARCOS: 20s-30s Filipina. Magnetic, beguiling, and complex. We follow her on her rags to riches story from her teenage years through adulthood as the morally bankrupt First Lady of the Philippines.
• ESTRELLA/ENSEMBLE: 20s-30s. Filipina. Though only slightly older than Imelda, Estrella is a mother figure to Imelda after her mother’s death. Strong maternal nature with a gentler calming singing voice.
• MARCOS/ENSEMBLE: 20s-30s. Filipino. Captivating politician with a masculine presence. Sexy and seductive.
• AQUINO (NINOY)/ENSEMBLE: 20s-30s. The charismatic and principled leader of the political opposition. A striking and virtuosic speaker with a strong R&B/Gospel voice.
• ENSEMBLE MEN/SWINGS: Various Filipino characters (20s-30s)
