SEEKING:

Joe Mauldin:

Caucasian man, Early-Mid 20s, attractive and energetic. Actor must be able to sing tight vocal harmonies and be an expert bass player. Joe Mauldin was an original member of Buddy Holly’s band The Crickets. He is young and idealistic, much like Buddy. He is a “good ‘ole boy” from Texas, but has somewhat of a temper.

Jerry Alison:

Caucasian man, Early-Mid 20s, attractive. Actor must be able to sing tight vocal harmonies as well as play the drums. Jerry Alison was the original drummer for The Crickets. He is young and idealistic like Buddy and Jerry, but is a little more girl crazy.

Fourth Cricket/Buddy Cover:

Caucasian, Early-Mid 20s, attractive. Actor needs to be an expert on guitar and a charismatic performer who could cover Buddy Holly.

Norman Petty:

Caucasian man, Early 30s-Early 40s. Strong singer/actor – instrumental skills are a plus, but not crucial. Norm Petty was integral to Buddy Holly and The Cricket’s early success. Norm is both a mentor and close friend to the band. He is hard working, serious but warm, and genuine.

Vi Petty:

Caucasian man, Early 30’s-Early 40’s. Norm Petty’s wife. Actress must be an excellent rock piano player. Vi is warm and caring, but enjoys a bit of fun as well. She is not the stereotypical 1950s housewife and is not afraid to share her opinions.

Ritchie Valens:

Hispanic man, Early 20s. Actor must be a great singer and guitarist. Ritchie Valens is young and full of life. He is also sexy, charismatic, and a little vain.

Big Bopper:

Caucasian man, Late 20s-Mid 30s, big and tall. Guitar skills are a plus. Big Bopper is fun, energetic, and larger than life. Actor must be able to command the stage and have strong comedic timing. Seeking an actor with a large personality and a large body type.
