SEEKING

NOTE: THE BROTHERS SIZE is set in present-day San Pere, Louisiana. The play centers on the tumultuous relationship between the Size brothers as they struggle to reconcile their challenging pasts with their forbidding futures.

SEEKING

OSHOOSI SIZE

(Early to mid 20s) African American. Younger brother of OGUN; out on parole after spending time in prison. Despite his complicated upbringing and the harsh reality of him being an ex-con looking for a job in a town that is expecting him to fail, he still manages to be optimistic about his potential and what’s still in store for him. While he admires and envy’s his older brother’s stability and work ethic, he resents how much he interferes with/tries to control his life. OSHOOZIE SIZE can be a romantic dreamer which can lead him to be stubborn, spontaneous and often irresponsible. Trusting to a fault; a good person who gets himself into bad situations.

ELEGBA

(Mid to late 20s) African American or Latino; became close friends with OSHOOZIE SIZE when they did time in prison together. Considers OSHOOSI his “brother” since they became close friends while both doing time in prison together. Sexy, mysterious and somewhat elusive. Feels strongly about OSHOOZIE to the point that he is envious of the relationship OSHOOSI has with OGUN. ELEGBA may have good intentions, but is not always the most trustworthy or responsible person.
